Carolyn Sue Hague, 62, of Placerville, Calif., was born Nov. 26, 1951, in Trenton, Mo., and passed away March 7, 2014, in Placerville. She was preceded in death by her mother, Elizabeth Ann Campbell Hague. She is survived by her father, Robert Gean Hague; brother, Ronald “Ron” Gene Hague; niece, Lisa Ann Bails; and great-nieces, Riley Paige Bails and Sailor Nicole Bails.
Carolyn attended school in Fulton and Jamesport, Mo. She graduated from Fulton High School in 1969 and acquired an associate’s degree from Trenton Junior College in Trenton in 1971. She had many interests, including music, photography, cooking and horses. She enjoyed kayaking, soapstone carving, tumbling stones and making jewelry, restoring Airstream trailers and camping. She spent 20 years in the educational field, most recently as Fiscal Support Manager at Folsom Cordova Unified School District.
Carolyn in the last 3 years of her life she embraced the donkey world, attended Mule Days, and participated in many parades with donkeys in costumes.
A casual-dress celebration of Carolyn’s life will be held on March 15, at 11:30 a.m., at the Federated Church, 1031 Thompson Way in Placerville. Burial will be at sea in the Pacific Ocean. Remembrances may be made to Marshall Cancer Resource Center, 3581 Palmer Drive #202, Cameron Park, CA 95682.
